For those who haven’t yet visited our area, we’ll tell you a bit about where we live. Stillwater County is in south central Montana – only about 100 miles from Yellowstone National Park. We’re about 80 miles from Billings and a little more than that to Bozeman. The Absaroka-Beartooth Mountains are in our neighborhood, and the Crazy Mountains are nearby. Whitetail deer outnumber people 6 to 1 in our county! We’re proud of our majestic mountain views, abundant wildlife, ranches and farms, and our friendly folks. The traffic here is practically zilch. What a difference from city life! Here’s a map of our area…
We hope you’ll come and visit us sometime. Check out the Visit Montana web site. Would you like to receive a visitor information packet full of maps and information? If so, contact us by email at admin@StillwaterCountyChamber.com or call (406) 322-4505, and we’ll get a packet sent out to you!
Don’t you JUST LOVE MONTANA!

Please encourage your friends and family to BUY LOCAL. Through shopping at locally-owned, independent businesses:
* You bolster our economic base, since local businesses are more likely to use other local services and products.
* You keep more tax dollars in our community to support our schools, parks, police, and other services.
* You support businesses which provide a large share of jobs in our community and are more invested in Stillwater County’s future.
* You ensure a solid foundation for our non-profit organizations, because they receive a majority of their donations from locally-owned businesses.
* You protect the beauty and natural resources of our community. Our local stores help sustain vibrant, compact, and walkable shopping districts and conserve energy and resources by reducing the transportation costs of goods.
Remember to BUY LOCAL.
